Join us in Beatrice (or online!) for a Historic Tax Incentives and Section 106 training session. During the first portion of the workshop, Chris Usler from the Nebraska State Historical Society will walk through the three incentive programs available in Nebraska — the Federal Historic Tax Credit, the Nebraska Historic Tax Credit, and the Valuation Incentive Program. He’ll also break down how the 3-part application process work in practice, highlight common pitfalls, and use real project examples to show how the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards apply.

The second portion will feature Haylee Rose, also from Nebraska State Historical Society, who will provide an overview of the Section 106 review process — including documentation requirements, common challenges, and best practices for successful compliance.

This workshop is the second in a 3-part series offered through the Historic Preservation Educational Programming Contract (HPEP) Nebraska Main Street was awarded in January.
