The Gilfort Building has been a long-standing fixture in the community of Weeping Water and is known for housing various businesses throughout its time. The structure is the only one standing that is built from Weeping Water pressed-brick, rather than kiln-fired brick.
While the building has a strong footing in Weeping Water, it is in need of major repairs due to water damage in the back section of the building. There is currently one operable apartment, minus AC, and potential for two more. Goals for the main floor are to be used as an office and/or museum space.
Results of the survey, as well as the resource packet, will be posted once finalized.
